Housing Solutions Department

Located at 2621 Junius St., San Angelo, TX 76901, the Housing Solutions Department of the Housing Authority of San Angelo (HASA) is dedicated to supporting low-income individuals, families, and those experiencing homelessness. Through programs like Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) and the Basic Needs Closet (BNC), we work to reduce barriers, provide essential resources, and help participants achieve stability and long-term self-sufficiency. The Housing Solutions Department's mission is to provide assistance and practical solutions to the population served. Our goals are to house individuals and families as quickly as possible and, through intensive case management, help them develop the tools needed to remain housed. Through Coordinated Entry and the BNC, we assist with essentials like interview preparation, resume building, and employment support.

Housing Solutions is committed to expanding housing options and strengthening community resources to prevent and end homelessness in San Angelo.

What is the purpose of RRH?

Rapid re-housing provides short-term rental assistance and supportive services designed to help individuals and families quickly secure housing, increase self-sufficiency, and remain housed. RRH is offered without preconditions (such as employment, income, criminal background, or sobriety), and services are tailored to meet each household's unique needs.

What is the purpose of the BNC?

The Basic Needs Closet (BNC) provides HASA and RRH clients across San Angelo with access to free essential products. By helping to meet immediate needs, such as food, clothing, and hygiene items, we reduce stressors that can prevent participants from focusing on stability and success in our programs.
